Wild Card Round
Coach Rubs vs. The Kosher Nostra - Propelled by Danielle Hunter’s 3 sacks, Darius Leonard’s touchdown on an interception return, and a slew of solid offensive performances, Coach Rubs knocked the Kosher Nostra out in the wild card round to prevent them from moving to the semis for the only time in franchise history. Mike’s 181 points were led by Aaron Jones and his 134 rushing yards, but it just wasn’t enough this week as he falters much earlier than usual in the playoffs. Coach Rubs dropped 201.5 points to both solidify his stance as a contender and move on to the semifinal round
Q vs. The Sneaky Greek - Drew Brees threw for 349 yards and 5 touchdowns to go along with Derrick Henry’s 2-touchdown day as Q bolted out to a 230 point outing in the wild card round. The Sneaky Greek was left in the dust, as Michael Thomas was the only one who performed that week with Eleftherios stumbling to a 159-point finish. Zack lost in the wild card round for the second consecutive season following his victory in 2017
Semi Finals
Commissioner Stalin vs. Coach Rubs - The Battle of 686 occurs once again in the 2019 semifinals, with Stalin and Coach Rubs facing off in a battle of marquee tight ends. Darren Waller, Coach Rubs’ preferred TE, lines up against George Kittle of the Soviets. Both put up massive numbers, but ultimately cancelled each other out as the game came down to the home field advantage rule that allots 4 points to the higher seed in the postseason. The Soviets ultimately won by 3, securing their second ever championship berth in franchise history
HI-Life Ganja Farmers vs. Q - Travis Kelce came up big with 11 catches for 142 yards out of the TE position for the Ganja Farmers, and solid performances from his offensive stars like Josh Jacobs, Todd Gurley, and Dak helped them push through to a total point of 210 in this key semifinal matchup. Unfortunately for them, Drew Brees and Lamar Jackson combined for 519 yards through the air along with 9 passing TDs to propel Q to an absurd 241.5 points, enough to push the Raiders past the Ganja Farmers to advance to their third ever finals
Championship Game
Commissioner Stalin vs. Q - In an epic collapse equivalent to Operation Barbarossa in World War II, the Soviets could not sustain against the Raiders juggernaut that just wouldn’t stop scoring. Lamar Jackson had the 5th most rushing yards of any player on the week, and that’s in addition to his 3 passing touchdowns and 238 yards through the air. Mark Andrews and Christian McCaffrey also had big days to knock off the Soviets, who couldn’t muster enough behind Baby Chark and Sneaky Kirk Cousins to get a win as they limped to 159 points in a title game. Super weak. Q and the Raiders busted up the title game with 213 total points en route to the franchise’s 2nd ever title
