2018 CSFFL DRAFT
JAGUARS #1 WR MARQISE LEE DRAFTED BY COMMISSIONER STALIN, TEARS ACL HOURS LATER IN PRESEASON
2018 Draft Order
The First Four Rounds
No TEs were taken in either of the first two rounds for the first time since 2013
The first QB wasn’t taken until the very last pick of the 2nd round at 20th overall (Tom Brady)
In the midst of the RB chaos, the Law Firm somehow had just two RBs after the first four rounds, taking Gronk in the 3rd and Carson Wentz in the 4th
On that same note, Sloppy Joe had zero RBs after the first four rounds, as he went WR-WR-WR-TE. That had to be autopicked…right?
Royce Freeman in Round 6
Josh Gordon in Round 6…
Josh Gordon’s dominant season that we all remember? Way back in 2013. Round 6
IDPs start going in the 7th with Joey Bosa taken by the Soviets, and a mini run forms
Keanu Neal, the 8th round pick by Commissioner Stalin, tore his ACL on a non-contact play in the first quarter of the season-opening Thursday game against the Eagles. He was the 2nd of Stalin’s first 8 picks to go down before the first Sunday of football, after 2nd round pick Jerick McKinnon tore his ACL in practice prior to Week One
POST-DRAFT ROSTERS
2018 Draft Awards
Best Pick: Patrick Mahomes, Round 9 by Coach Rubs. Mahomes, in his first season as a starter, ended up tossing 50 touchdowns and winning league MVP as he led Logan on a run to the semifinals. QBs picked before him include Ben Roethlisberger, Kirk Cousins, Matthew Stafford, Jimmy Garoppolo, and Philip Rivers
Worst Pick: Jerick McKinnon, Round 2 by Commissioner Stalin. The Soviets had already reached for McKinnon in the 2nd round after panicking in the middle of the heavy run on RBs, but it only got worse from there when he tore his ACL during a team workout one week before the season even started and missed the entire year
Most Incredible Pick: Marquette King, Round 20 by the Kosher Nostra. Mike took a punter in the 20th round. George Kittle was taken two rounds later
Most Amazingly Unfortunate Pick in Draft History: Marqise Lee, Round 16 by Commissioner Stalin. The Soviets were desperate for WRs and were excited to have Lee, who was playing in a preseason game for the Jaguars during the CSFFL draft, fall to them in Round 16. While the draft was going on - literally, within rounds of being selected by the Soviets - Marqise Lee went down with a knee injury and was ruled out for the season. The late-draft, completely-panic decided contingency plan? MI…MI…MIKE WILLIAMS
