Wild Card Round
Brock vs. The Kosher Nostra - Kareem Hunt and Philip Rivers had solid weeks as Big Mike parlayed his 6-7 regular season finish into an upset victory over Brock in the wild card round. Brock’s squad, highlighted by such stars as Devin Funchess and Ricky Seals-Jones, loses its first ever postseason game by just 6 points en route to an early exit
The Toll Booth vs. The Law Firm - An agonizingly close divisional battle saw Nikki take down Any, Esq. by just 1.5 points (home field!) as Antonio Brown went off for over 200 receiving yards against the Ravens and Isaiah Crowell added 121 rushing yards to help her to victory. Jay Ajayi and Vernon Davis fell just short for the Law Firm in this one, and the Toll Booth moved on to the semifinals
Semi Finals
Commissioner Stalin vs. The Kosher Nostra - Cam Newton threw for 4 TDs and Gronk added 168 receiving yards as the Kosher Nostra came in hot with 212.5 total points on the week. Even Jaguars receiver Keelan Cole somehow put up 186 yards and a touchdown. But the Soviets kept right up behind their RB stable of Christian McCaffrey, Alvin Kamara, Zeke, and Todd Gurley back when he was good. Unfortunately for Stalin, all 4 of them couldn’t play and the Soviets came up just short in a 212.5-211.5 loss to their division rival, the Kosher Nostra. Mike, after a 6-7 regular season campaign and barely sneaking in as the 6-seed, advanced to the final for the third time in four years
Coach Rubs vs. The Toll Booth - Mark Ingram scored 2 rushing touchdowns and Calais Campbell added 5 tackles and 2 sacks for the Toll Booth, who faced off against her old nemesis Coach Rubs. Logan rolled out the likes of Jay Cutler and Theo Riddick in a fantasy semifinal, and it got him exactly where you would expect. It was a low scoring game, but someone had to win, and Nikki moved on to the finals to make her first appearance in the championship game since her title run back in 2012
Championship Game
The Toll Booth vs. The Kosher Nostra - With both Nikki and Mike having won a title before, the 2017 championship game was guaranteed to give the CSFFL its first two-time champion after 7 seasons of existence. The Toll Booth came in as the higher seed, and somehow got a 237 yard, 2 touchdown performance out of Joe Flacco to get things going. The Kosher Nostra, however, once got a big game out of Keelan Cole to go along with a normal day at the office from Larry Fitzgerald to drop 188.5 in this title matchup as the 6th-seeded underdog. Nikki’s high-powered WR duo of Antonio Brown and Davante Adams was completely shut down this week, and her underwhelming performance allowed the Kosher Nostra to become the first ever two-time champion in CSFFL history despite losing more games than they won during the regular season
