2020 Regular Season
During the 2020 Draft, Coach Rubs had the 1st overall pick, but he was somehow convinced by the Sneaky Greek to not take Christian McCaffrey…
The 2020 season saw the second time in a row that a 5-8 team (The Law Firm) would qualify for the playoffs
Brock won the first division title in franchise history after 7 seasons in the league
Final Regular Season Standings
The Kosher Nostra once again clinched the North Division title (their 5th since joining the league in 2014) and the #1 seed with an 11-2 record. Brock pulled out a 9-4 record en route to the franchise’s first ever division title and a berth in the semifinals, while the Soviets matched the 9-4 record and were given the 3-seed as the league’s top wild card. The Ganja Farmers were the only other team with a winning record, while Coach Rubs lucked out as his 6-7 record was enough to get him not just a playoff berth, but the 5-seed. For the second year in a row, we had a 5-8 team qualify for the postseason. This time, it was the Law Firm winning the 4-team tiebreaker at the expense of the Sneaky Greek, the Toll Booth, and Sloppy Joe. Q rounded out the league with a rock solid 3-10 record in the ultimate championship hangover.
The Kosher Nostra and Commissioner Stalin both put up insane point totals in 2020, with only the Ganja Farmers seemingly anywhere in contention on a weekly basis. But this is fantasy football, and it’s all about matchups. Just ask Brock, the 6th highest point scorer during the regular season who is a bit higher on this final standings than you would think he would be. A more predictable measure would be Q - who put up just 137 points per game, which has to be a record in regards to how far below the league average that was. We’ll blame it on the rona.
