Wild Card Round
Sloppy Joe vs. Q - Joe and Q faced off in a very boring wild card matchup that saw neither team hit 160 total points. Some how, some way, Blake Bortles and Marcus Mariota were enough at QB to get Sloppy Joe to the semi finals for the second straight year
Coach Rubs vs. The Law Firm - A battle of original league members resulted in another low-scoring affair, as Tom Brady and his 406 passing yards took Coach Rubs to victory. The Law Firm, who had backed into the playoffs as the 6-seed after a 6-7 regular season finish, couldn’t get enough mustard behind their subpar defense to make any noise in this game as the limped to a total of 133.5 points
Semi Finals
HI-Life Ganja Farmers vs. Sloppy Joe - The Ganja Farmers got two great performances out of their workhorse RBs, Devonta Freeman and Zeke, as they compensated for the mediocre performances elsewhere on the roster in a low-scoring semifinal matchup against Sloppy Joe. Bortles and Mariota might be the most epic QB duo in CSFFL history to make it all the way to the semis, but the ultimately fell short as the Ganja Farmers moved on to their 2nd championship in franchise history
The Kosher Nostra vs. Coach Rubs - Mike had his beloved Packer Ty Montgomery rush for 162 yards and 2 touchdowns this week, but Andy Dalton and Big Ben both fell flat as he lost a close game to wild card seed Coach Rubs. Logan got another good performance from Cam Newton, the eventual league MVP that he got in the 7th round of the draft, and rode him all the way to the title game - his first since 2012
Championship Game
HI-Life Ganja Farmers vs. Coach Rubs - The breakout game for Adam Thielen that would change the course of his career would also turn out to be the game that won Coach Rubs the 2016 CSFFL title. Thielen’s 12 catch, 202 yard, 2 touchdown performance won Logan the title when combined with other solid performances from Tom Brady and Jordan Howard. The title game loss had to hurt twice as bad for Djavan, the die-hard Vikings fan, as the Ganja Farmers fell to 0-2 all time in the title game - with the losses coming just two seasons apart
