Wild Card Round
The Toll Booth vs. Sloppy Joe - Sloppy Joe, in his rookie season, upset the Toll Booth in the wild card round in a low scoring matchup. Cam Newton and company got just enough to get Joe past Nikki and #3 overall pick Eddie Lacy as Joe continued his miraculous run to the semifinals that rookie franchises seem to do so consistently
Commissioner Stalin vs. The Law Firm - A 3-sack day from DL Muhammad Wilkerson, as well as solid outings from Carson Palmer and TY Hilton, helped the Soviets blow by the 200 point threshold en route to a wild-card round victory over the 6-seed Law Firm. Russell Wilson tossed for 5 touchdowns in a losing effort for Any, Esq. as TJ Yeldon and the rest of the squad couldn’t get it done, with the Law Firm losing in the first round once again
Semi Finals
The Kosher Nostra vs. Sloppy Joe - In one of the most epic matchups in league history, both Mike and Joe blew by the 200 point marker in a race to see who could score more before the Monday night game ended. They ended up in a tie - with the 4-point home field advantage for the higher seed giving Mike the victory despite Joe putting up a valiant 225 points. It’s unlikely a playoff game will ever be this high-scoring again, and it also marked the closest that Sloppy Joe has ever come to the finals as of the 2021 season
Coach Rubs vs. Commissioner Stalin - This matchup will always be remembered for the late-week stat correction that gave Commissioner Stalin a surprise victory over Coach Rubs in the semifinal, going from losing by 0.5 points to winning by 0.5 points at the discretion of some dude at ESPN.com. Who knows why it took the NFL stat guys so long to make the changes, but it changed the outcome of the entire league and propelled the Soviets to their first ever finals
Championship Game
The Kosher Nostra vs. Commissioner Stalin - The Soviets won the 2015 championship behind performances just good enough to give them the win in one of the more boring finals in league history. Carson Palmer and Derek Carr pulled the Soviets along (surely it wasn’t Charcandrick West who won it), and Mike’s Big Ben-Eli QB combination just couldn’t keep up this week as Stalin wins the franchise’s first and only title as of the 2021 season
